Resolution on The Tumaini
Following several days of comprehensive discussions on the underlying causes of conflict in South Sudan, the Government delegation, led by Hon. Eng. Kuol Manyang Juuk, Senior Presidential Advisor, along with holdout groups and other stakeholders, is now focusing on the next steps. One key aspect of these efforts is the creation of a technical committee tasked with further examining and advancing discussions on the root causes of the conflict.
As the talks continue, attention will shift to addressing the relationship between the Tumaini Peace Initiative and the Revitalized Agreement on the Resolution of the Conflict in South Sudan (R-ARCSS), with discussions on this vital topic set to begin tomorrow.
The Government remains dedicated to promoting constructive dialogue and working towards a peaceful resolution that will foster long-term stability, unity, and development in South Sudan.
